Rina K.
Figurative Artist
Welcome to my art world that took me years to reach by small small ”stepping stones” that where deliberately taken steps to lead me to my dream, my art studio.
To paint gives me such feeling of peace and quiet which i hope can be transfered in to my paintings and give the viewers the same calm feeling as I get creating my paintings.
Beautiful colors and the aesthetic of things, people and nature is where I get my inspiration from. The aesthetic from my point of view can be found in anything from a grain of sand to the beauty of the shifting colors of an ocean and can be transformed or applicated in whole different ways in my creating.
I am first and foremost a figurative painter but even other styles exist in my visual archive that you might come to see further on. The female beauty reflects a lot in my paintings, sometimes glimpses of the past decades that can be hinted.
The technique is a combination of precision, rigor and attention to detail creating a calming and clean composition that later turns to silhouettes that do not have a clear outline, instead, it is the color that defines the shapes and gives them life, liberating them to escape and spread, apparently dissolving the provisional form. The willful freedom with which color overflows and surpasses contours.
My intention is to arrive at a balance between the order and the chaos, light and dark, the past and the present always seeking for the balance as I do in life. The paintings begin to have a life of their own both through the deliberate precision as the uncontrollable that joins in a final balance. This as a metaphor for life that I hope can be conveyed in my art.
